Volunteer Network

We are building a network of early volunteers to support planning, outreach, and future program development.

  • Farm Work Days — Join a crew for planting, harvesting, and greenhouse maintenance. No experience needed.
  • Youth Mentoring — One-on-one relationships with residents working toward life goals.
  • Life Skills Teaching — Budgeting, cooking, home maintenance, navigating healthcare. If you know it, teach it.
  • Job Skills Workshops — Interview prep, resume building, professional communication.
  • Administrative Support — Grant writing, communications, event planning from anywhere.
  • Events & Fundraising — Help organize farm-to-table dinners, community days, and donor events.

▤ Refer a Youth

Know a young person
who needs a landing place?

For case workers, DSS offices, group home staff, court-appointed advocates, and community partners: if you work with a young person aging out of foster care who needs stable housing, structure, and a path forward — this program was built for them.

Submit a referral and our team will follow up within 48 hours. We work with you through the intake process.

Who We Serve

  • Ages 18–24, aging out of or recently exited foster care
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC area
  • Motivated to participate in farm training and life skills programming
  • No prior farm experience required
  • Spaces are limited — early referrals secure priority consideration
